The solar collector has a ventilated housing with a framework (1), having a rear-walled thermal insulation (2) and a radiation-permeable front cover (3) as well as an absorber unit (4). The absorber unit is arranged between a front cover and a thermal insulation. The framework has an air inlet opening in a lower frame area in the housing and an outlet opening (7) in an upper area for the flowed-in air. The air inlet opening has a catch, designed as a flap and adjusted in one position by an opening device, depending on a temperature measurement in the housing or the absorber unit.
