The targeted determination of exact position of a point on a surface (6) of a component (1) integrated into an unit or unit component (2) relative to a well known point in the unit, comprises mounting distance sensor (4) moving relative to the surface of the component with an electrical conductive tip (5) in an exactly defined position within the unit and/or the component. The electrical conductive surface of the component is placed on mass, in such a way that a circuit is closed, if the tip of the sensor is interrupted to the surface of the component by contact and/or circuit. The targeted determination of exact position of a point on a surface (6) of a component (1) integrated into an unit or unit component (2) relative to a well known point in the unit, comprises mounting distance sensor (4) moving relative to the surface of the component with an electrical conductive tip (5) in an exactly defined position within the unit and/or the component. The electrical conductive surface of the component is placed on mass, in such a way that a circuit is closed, if the tip of the sensor is interrupted to the surface of the component by contact and/or circuit, when the contact is lost. A multiphase motor is used as the combination of distance sensor and as a placing element.
