<p>The present invention relates to a packaging concept including a tubular wall member (130) and end caps (110, 120). The end caps are each formed from a continuous blank (200) of sheet material. The blank includes at least thr ee aligned cap layers (211, 231, 251). The first and second cap layers are a djacent to each other and connected by a tab connector (205). Each of the fi rst and second cap layers also includes a plurality of bendable support tabs (210A-H, 23 OA-F) and each of the first and second cap layers includes a pl urality of spaces (220A-F, 240A-H) between adjacent respective bendable supp ort tabs. The first cap layer is folded relative to the second cap layer. Th e first and second cap layers are smaller than the open tube ends and the th ird cap layer is larger than the open tube ends. Therefore, the first and se cond cap layers enter the open tube ends and the third cap layer abut the op en tube ends.</p> |
