<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the safety of a vehicle by improving stability and effectiveness of a steering system, increasing the number of detection for detecting probability of wrong operation, or detecting such a wrong operation early. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a safety method for monitoring a steering system of a vehicle with electric steering support for detecting instabilities and potentially dangerous malfunction. This method has a step for determining at least one measurement and control of quantity of a steering train, a step for determining at least one measurement and control of quantity of a dynamic drive system 40, a step for comparing the determined quantities to check reliability, and a step for operating in the state having an excessive deviation of the determined quantities from standard quantities for safe steering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
