<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress or prevent any slithering of an airbag upward of a rim. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of tethers 48 are arranged in an airbag 12 for a driver's seat which is composed of an occupant side base cloth 34 and a counter-occupant side base cloth 36. One end 48A of the tether 48 is sewn onto a rim 14B of a steering wheel 14 at the counter-occupant side base cloth 36, and the other end 48B is sewn to a part opposing one end 48A on the occupant side base cloth 34. Thus, when the airbag 12 is inflated and developed, a lower end inflation part 58 is turned around to the front side of the rim 14B around the one end 48A of the tether 48 at is lower end, and a swollen part 54A is locked. Thus, even when the force for pushing up the airbag 12 upward of the rim 14B by a belly and a chest of an occupant, the airbag 12 is not slithered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
