PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for enhancing engraftment procedures of hematopoietic stem cells (HSPCs) and hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs).SOLUTION: A method of enhancing viral transduction efficacy in a stem cell comprises the steps of: providing a viral vector that contains at least one gene of interest for transduction; supplying at least one stem cell that has been treated ex vivo with an effective amount of molecules having PGE2 activity; and transfecting the stem cell, which has been treated with the molecules having PGE2 activity, with the viral vector.
