PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent hot offset resistance and low-temperature fixability and less adhesion of a toner component on a carrier even in long-term use, causing no degradation in chargeability of the carrier, and giving high-level picture quality with excellent minute dot reproducibility. SOLUTION: The toner comprises mother particles containing a paraffin wax having a melting point of 60°C to 90°C and a binder resin. The mother particles show an endothermic quantity of from 3.5 J/g to 5.5 J/g derived from the paraffin wax at an endothermic peak in a DSC measurement, and has an average circularity of from 0.94 to 0.97. By an evaluation method of toner for evaluating fluidity of toner, the toner produces a torque of from 1.4 mNm to 2.0 mNm, when a cone rotor having a vertical angle of 60°is made to intrude into a toner powder phase at an intrusion speed of 5 mm/min for a depth of 20 mm while rotating at a rotation speed of 1 rpm, the toner powder phase prepared by consolidating the toner in a cylindrical container having an internal diameter of 60 mm for 60 seconds with a consolidation load of 585 g.
