PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water level attachment tool for simply and correctly attaching a commercially-available water level to piping, and accurately measuring a gradient of the piping. SOLUTION: The water level attachment tool 1 is interposed between the piping 2 and the water level 14 so as to attach the water level 14 for measuring the gradient of the piping 2 to the piping 2, and is provided with: a piping grip section 3 comprising an elastic material formed into a circular arc cross section so as to be fitted to an outer circumference of the piping 2; a support section 4 having one end fixed in the center of the piping grip section 3 in the outer circumference direction; and an L-shaped metal water level placement plate 5 attached to the other end of the support section 4, placing the water level 14, and having a placement plane parallel to the piping grip section 3 in the longitudinal direction.
