This absorbent article is provided with an absorbent main body (10), leg gather parts (20), and belt parts (30). When the absorbent article is in a state of being extended along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent main body (10), the leg gather parts (20) are disposed at both sides of the absorbent main body (10) in the horizontal direction, and the belt parts (30) are disposed so as to overlap the leg gather parts (20) and portions of the absorbent main body (10) in the thickness direction. The sum total of the widths of front-side belt cutout portions (35f) in the horizontal direction and the widths of front-side leg gather cutout portions (25f) in the horizontal direction, in a position a prescribed distance inward in the longitudinal direction from the front ends of leg-surrounding openings in the longitudinal direction, is equal to or greater than the sum total of the widths of rear-side belt cutout portions (35r) in the horizontal direction and the widths of rear-side leg gather cutout portions (25r) in the horizontal direction, in a position the same prescribed distance inward in the longitudinal direction from the rear ends of the leg-surrounding openings in the longitudinal direction. |
