Provided is an antenna device which can ensure favorable communication performance and be mounted even in an electronic device with limited mounting space. An antenna device (1) that communicates with an external device via an electromagnetic signal and is incorporated into an electronic device (30), the antenna device (1) being equipped with a metal plate (3) that faces the external device and is provided in the housing interior (32) of the electronic device, and further equipped with an antenna coil (12) that is inductively coupled to the external device and is provided in a manner such that conductive wires (12a) facing one another in the widthwise direction with the opening (12b) thereof interposed therebetween are wound so as to near one another. Furthermore, the antenna coil is provided on the lateral surface (3a) of the metal plate. |
