PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-protecting linear member repeatedly usable, smoothly attachable and easy to handle. SOLUTION: This sheet-protecting linear member (A) is such that a first linear part 1, a second linear part 2 and a middle part 3 are integrally formed through using a hard synthetic resin (plastic) material for the first linear part 1 and the second linear part 2, and using a soft synthetic resin (plastic) material for the third linear part 3. The sheet-protecting linear member (A) is made narrow in a width size as much as possible through sliding the first linear part 1 and the second linear part 2 to each other in the depth direction and inserting the second bottom wall part 21 of the second part 2 into the corner of the first bottom wall part 11 of the first linear part 1 and a first side wall part 12.
