APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING OF DATA

An apparatus and a method for transmitting data are provided to save time used in data communication, be easy to use, and reduce cost by enabling a user to transmit the data to a device through a USB(Universal Serial Bus) communication method in a user's PC(Personal Computer) and enabling a device terminal to selectively use a desired interfacing method. An apparatus for transmitting data(20) comprises the followings: a USB(Universal Serial Bus) communication interface unit(21) which performs USB communication with a PC(Personal Computer); a code extractor(23) which extracts an interface identification code included in inputted data; a first converter(24) which converts the data to transmit and receive the data to a first interface; a second converter(25) which converts the data to transmit and receive the data to a second interface; and a control unit(22) which controls to transmit and receive the data to an interface corresponding to the extracted identification code.
