A caliper type brake having an overlap parallel slot pad in a vehicle is provided to discharge dust from friction between a wheel disk and the pad and friction heat by facing slots of pads to each other, and to prevent noise by contacting the wheel disk to the pad securely. A caliper(1) generates braking force by receiving brake pressure from a master cylinder generating hydraulic pressure through a booster. An inner pad(2) and an outer pad(3) are contacted to two sides of a wheel disk(D) by hydraulic brake pressure in the caliper to generate braking force. An inner pad slot(4) and an outer pad slot(5) are opened and formed in the inner pad and the outer pad, and inclined and faced to each other. The inner pad slot and the outer pad slot are connected from the upper slot start points to the lower slot end points, inclined, and arranged across the inner pad and the outer pad.
