PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved technique to evaluate kinetic properties of a subject bone using ultrasonic waves. SOLUTION: An angle arithmetic section 22 calculates a bending angle of the bone 52 on the basis of a plurality of surface points 60. A characteristic data arithmetic section 24 calculates an indicator value that reflects a load applied on the bone 52, the length of the bone 52, and the position of a fractured part 54. The characteristic data arithmetic section 24 then calculates a proportionality constant that shows the proportion of the indicator value to the bending angle of the bone 52 as characteristic data reflecting kinetic properties of the bone 52.
