PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive multiple kinds of user operations in an inexpensive and power-saving configuration.SOLUTION: A user interface device 10 includes: a proximity sensor 12 for detecting that a user is close to the device; an electrostatic switch 13 for detecting changes in capacitance of a plurality of electrodes 132; an acceleration sensor 14 which detects acceleration; and a microcomputer 11 which controls power supply of the electrostatic switch 13 and the acceleration sensor 14, according to a detection result of the proximity sensor 12, and recognizes multiple kinds of user operations (gesture operation and tapping operation), according to detection results of the electrostatic switch 13 and the acceleration sensor 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
