PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating for toilets and bathrooms, which exhibits gas decomposition and antimicrobial functions by the irradiation of visible light alone without irradiating ultraviolet rays. SOLUTION: At least one portion of toilet and bathroom members is coated with a visible light response type photocatalyst powder having a color of a* of≤-5, b* of≥-5, and L* of≥50, when the color of tungsten oxide photocatalyst powder is represented by an L*a*b* color system, and then irradiated with visible light such as solar light or fluorescent lamp light. Thus, an indoor gas decomposition effect and the antifouling, antimicrobial effects for the toilet and bath room members are obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
