A pneumatic tire (1) wherein a reinforcing rubber layer (10) that has an approximately crescent-shaped meridional cross-section is arranged on both tire-width-direction sides of a side wall part (4). When the present invention is mounted on a normal rim and is in a no-load state wherein the internal pressure thereof is 0 kPa, if a straight line (La) that is sloped 10° to the tire-radial-direction outside with respect to a straight line (Lc) that orthogonally intersects a tire equatorial plane (CL) at the widest part of the tire in a meridional cross-section and a straight line (Lb) that is sloped 10° to the tire-radial-direction inside are drawn from the intersection (Q) of the straight line (Lc) and the tire equatorial plane (CL), the radius of curvature (RP) of the arc that connects the intersections (Pa, Pb, Pc) of the straight lines (La, Lb, Lc) and a carcass layer (6) is smaller than the radius of curvature (RO) of the arc that connects the intersections (Oa, Ob, Oc) of the straight lines (La, Lb, Lc) and the outline of the tire. The present invention can achieve both run-flat durability performance and riding comfort performance. |
