摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel catalyst for lower polymerization of α-olefin such as ethylene, which has a low formation rate of polymer and has a high catalytic activity.SOLUTION: Provided is a catalyst composition comprising a chromium compound, a particular bidentate phosphine compound and an organoaluminum compound, and in which a complex compound derived from the chromium compound and bidentate phosphine compound is serves as a main catalyst and the organoaluminum compound serves as a co-catalyst. And further, the complex compound of the main catalyst is formed by having a chromium of the chromium compound as a central metal, and to 1 atom of the central metal, formed is the bidentate phosphine compound configured by at least 1 molecule as a ligand.SELECTED DRAWING: None
