PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration where image data to be output is output to a sheet via a first rotating body and a second rotating body located on the downstream side thereof, and to cancel unevenness in density resulting from the rotation of the first rotating body on the downstream side before outputting an image to a sheet by making use of a difference in rotational period between the first rotating body and second rotating body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a developing roll 42 that rotates in a roll rotational period Tr; and an intermediate transfer belt 20 that rotates in a belt rotational period Tb. In forming an image on the intermediate transfer belt 20 while developing input one version a plurality of times by using the developing roll 42 with a version reference position P on the intermediate transfer belt 20 as a reference point, the roll rotational period Tr and the belt rotational period Tb are controlled to be Tb=14.5×Tr so as to achieve a combination in which the phases of the developing roll 42 with respect to the version reference position P are inverted to each other during a plurality of times of image formation of versions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
