PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finite linear motion guide unit which is formed into an extremely small size, and in which a rack-and-pinion mechanism for preventing the displacement of a holding plate is arranged, and orbital bases can accurately relatively slide with respect to each other.SOLUTION: Racks 8 are constituted of tooth parts 20, and a pair of connecting columns 21 which are fixed with the tooth parts 20, respectively, and the connecting columns 21 are formed into asymmetric shapes while being different in lengths in width directions. Rack grooves 16 formed at the orbital bases 1, 2 are formed of a center groove 18 whose one end side at which pinions 7 are engaged with the racks 8 is opened, and sideway grooves 19 which extend to bottom both-depth sides of the center groove 18, and in which the connecting columns 21 are arranged. The sideway grooves 19 are formed into asymmetric shapes with lengths in the width directions different from each other so as to be fit with the connecting columns 21 of the asymmetric racks 8 with lengths in the width directions different from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
