PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a positioning device", "a car navigation device" and "a positioning method", capable of simply detecting the correct position of the receiver. SOLUTION: A control part 102 detects the vehicle position, based on the GPS information corresponding to the signal from the four GPS satellites belonging to the combination for the case of each combination of four transmitting source GPS satellites transmitting the signal received by the GPS receiver 50. Based on the vehicle position detected for each of these combinations, the GPS satellite generating multipaths and the position of the vehicle is detected, based on the GPS, corresponding to the signal from GPS satellites other than the specified GPS satellite.
