<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a motor current accurately even if a failure occurs with current sensors of at least two phases. <P>SOLUTION: A motor drive controller includes: an abnormality detection means 38, which detects the abnormality of a motor current detection means 19; a current observer 36, which estimates a motor current with a resistance-inductance model including an electric motor 8 and a motor drive control means 24; a motor current selection means 39, which, when an abnormality of the motor current detection means 19 is not detected by the abnormality detection means 38, supplies a detected motor current value of the motor current detection means 19 to the motor drive control means 24 and, when an abnormality of the motor current detection means 19 is detected, supplies a motor current value estimated by the current observer 36 to the motor drive control means 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
