<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of a developing unit without enlarging a developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device for developing an electrostatic latent image by supplying toner to a photoreceptor 10 having the electrostatic latent image formed thereon includes a developing unit 41 which supplies the toner to the photoreceptor 10, a container 42 attachable to the developing unit 41, which stores toner to be supplied to the developing unit 41, and convection means 41b, 42b, 43 and 44 which convect the toner through the inside of the developing unit 41 and the inside of the container 42 in a convection direction including a horizontal component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
