PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated body in which a photocatalyst-containing inorganic coating film can be uniformly formed, and hydrophilicity of a surface can be stably obtained. SOLUTION: The coated body is formed of an organic coating film 2, an inorganic coating film 3 and a photocatalyst-containing coating film 4 by coating the surface of a base material 1 with an organic coating material, an inorganic coating material and a photocatalyst-containing inorganic coating material in this order. The photocatalyst-containing inorganic coating film 4 is characterized in that the surface of the inorganic coating film 3 controlled in such a manner that the contact angle of water reaches≤60°by surface treatment is coated with the photocatalyst-containing inorganic coating material so as to be formed at a film thickness of 0.1 to 2μm. Wettability of the photocatalyst-containing inorganic coating material to the surface of the inorganic coating film 3 is high, and the photocatalyst-containing inorganic coating film 4 can be uniformly formed at a thin film thickness.
