<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus capable of changing the viewing angle of each display image with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: The image display apparatus includes unit display regions, each having a plurality of sub-pixels arranged therein. A plurality of pixels are arranged in a plurality of unit display regions adjacent to each other. In the image display apparatus, each of light beams from the plurality of pixels is separated in different directions, so that each of a plurality of images displayed in a plurality of unit pixel display regions adjacent to each other can be viewed from the different direction. Each of the plurality of pixels belongs to one and the same group or one of a plurality of groups. The image display apparatus is configured to include an image signal supply means and a selection means. The image signal supply means supplies an identical image signal to the pixel belonging to an identical group or independent image signals to the pixels belonging to different groups, respectively. The selection means selects a number of groups or a number of pixels included in each group.
