A sphingolipid absorption promoter that comprises as an active ingredient a fermentation product and/or a culture product of a lactic acid bacterium and/or a bifidobacterium. According to the present invention, when a sphingolipid is taken, the absorption of the sphingolipid can be improved or promoted and thus the sphingolipid can be safely easily and economically (or efficiently) absorbed.
