The present invention relates to a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) marker in the TDRKH gene for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle and to a method for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle using the same. The present invention provides a composition for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle comprising a polynucleotide consisting of 10-100 of successive DNA sequences including the SNP marker of 250th nucleotide of SEQ ID NO: 1 or a complementary polynucleotide thereof. In addition, the present invention provides the method and a kit for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle by using the SNP marker. Based on the fact, the diagnosis method of the present invention is able to be usefully used for selecting Korean native cattle species having excellent meat quality in early stages to improve the same.
