PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballot paper sorter capable of improving convenience for sorting undecided ballot papers and shortening handling time.SOLUTION: A ballot sorter 3 comprises: a hopper in which ballot papers to be sorted are placed; conveying means which sequentially takes in the ballot papers placed in the hopper and conveys the ballot papers along a predetermined conveyance path; a plurality of storage units; a control unit 100. A control unit 100, after classifying the ballot papers conveyed along the conveyance path into decided ballot papers on which legitimate candidate names are written correctly and undecided ballot papers, groups the undecided ballot papers according to factors by which the ballot papers remain undecided. The control unit 100, in accordance with a classification result by the control unit 100, switches the storage units which stores the ballot papers conveyed along the conveyance path for each type of the ballot papers. |
