PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes an electrode wound body, a battery can for housing the electrode wound body, a battery upper lid for sealing the battery can, and a gas exhaust part arranged on the electrode wound body side of the battery upper lid and attached thereto. The gas exhaust part has a gas exhaust valve and a gas flow adjustment part. The gas flow adjustment part has a gas introduction part and a gas control part, and the gas exhaust valve is formed to face the gas control part. The gas control part is provided with an opening, the cross-section area of which is smaller than that of the gas introduction part. Gas generated from electrode wound body passes through the gas introduction part thence through the opening of the gas flow adjustment part, and is discharged from the gas exhaust valve to the outside of the battery can. |
