PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent not only steel leakage trouble resulting from a slag bear but also steel leakage trouble resulting from foreign matter in a molten slag that cannot be necessarily identified as a slag bear.SOLUTION: A steel continuous casting method of the present invention includes injecting molten steel 11 into a casting mold; and scattering mold powder 2 onto a surface (11b) of the molten steel 11 in the casting mold to form a mold powder deposition layer 20, in which a thickness de of the mold powder deposition layer 20 in portions in contact with an inner wall of the casting mold is set equal to or larger than 50 mm. At that time, it is preferable to form generally conical portions 21a each having an inclined surface in contact with the inner wall of the casing mold in the mold powder deposition layer 20 by scattering the mold powder 2 between the inner wall of the casing mold and positions apart from the inner wall by 60 mm in a horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
