PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple optical axis photoelectric sensor allowing a plurality of the multiple optical axis photoelectric sensors to be mutually adjacently arranged by minimizing a nondetectable region; and to provide its mounting structure and mounting means. SOLUTION: A body case 14 is so structured as to be held by first and second holding members 21 and 22 for sandwiching both flat surface parts 16a, 16a of a projection part 16 formed on its one side surface (rear surface) from mutually opposed side to be mounted to a mounting position. In addition, this photoelectric sensor is so structured that the flat surface parts 16a, 16a of the projection part 16 of the body case 14 is sandwiched by the first and second holding members 21 and 22 formed of separate members. When a plurality of the multiple optical axis photoelectric sensors 10 are arranged adjacently to one another, they can be arranged by minimizing a nondetectable region without causing a problem such as interference of mounting tool with each other generated in the conventional structure provided with mounting tool at both end parts in the arrangement direction of respective elements, so that correct object detection can be carried out.
