PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which obtains a good quality image while restraining wasteful consumption of toner of the utmost by carrying out a positional deviation detection operation according to the state of the device. SOLUTION: When detecting the depression of a copy start key ('Y' in step S10), a device carries out positional deviation calculation 1 in which resist marks for each of colors are formed on three positions of this side, the center part and the inner part on a transfer belt (step S11) and returns. When the copy start key is depressed one-side consecutive copying is started ('N' in step S10 and 'Y' in step S12) and the number of copy sheets counted by a copy counter reaches a specific number of sheets P, the device carries out positional deviation calculation 2 in which resist marks for each of colors are formed on two positions of this side, and the inner part of the transfer belt ('Y' in step S13 and S14). After the positional deviation calculation 2 is carried out, the device clears the copy counter (step S15) and returns. On the other hand, when the number of copies is less than sheets P ('N' in step S13), the device returns as it is. |
