The invention relates to a method and a device for guiding artillery and aviation inertial projectiles and reactive missiles to the target, using long-distance direct sighting. According to the invention, the guidance method consists in irradiating a target with high-power laser pulses emitted by a high-brilliance solid state laser oscillator operating under passive optical switching conditions at wavelengths ranging between 1...5 μ m, the laser pulses being reflected in a diffuse manner by the target, said diffuse reflections being then received by a quadrant photodiode detector which is mounted on the projectile to be guided, the electric signals generated thereby being then processed by means of an electronic circuit and applied by electro-mechanical means, to the projectile trajectory stabilization fins, as electric controls for projectile trajectory self-correction. The guidance device claimed by the invention comprises a solid state laser (1) emitting laser pulses incident to a target (2) which reflects said laser pulses in a diffuse manner, the said reflections being passed through an optical filter (3) and focused through an objective lens (4) onto the light-sensitive surface of a quadrant photodiode (5), the signals induced by the absorption of the diffuse reflections of laser pulses into the photodiode (5) being then processed in a preamplifier (6) and an amplifier (7) which has also the role of compressing the electric pulses according to the requirements of an electronic power block (8) which, by means of an electro-mechanical arrangement comprising a solenoid (9) which actuates a control rod (10) and a control fork (11), rotates the axis of a direction fin (12) of the guided projectile with the required angle. |
