摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery for a vehicle drive power supply capable of suppressing reduction in battery capacity over time and maintaining a vehicle drive output and the like to a sufficiently high level.SOLUTION: In a lithium secondary battery 100, an electrode body 20 formed by laminating a positive electrode and a negative electrode via a separator impregnated with an electrolyte is housed in a battery case 10 having a substantially square cylinder shape, and an opening 12 of the case 10 is closed by a lid 14. A positive electrode terminal 38 and a negative electrode terminal 48 are provided to the lid 14. Those terminals are connected to an internal positive electrode terminal 37 and an internal negative electrode terminal 47 in the battery case 10. A nonaqueous electrolytic solution for use in this lithium secondary battery 100 contains biphenyl and/or biphenyl derivative at least at a content ratio of 1.0 mmol/cc or more to a hole volume of the positive electrode.
