PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device and an image formation apparatus which can hold a guide gap properly and reduce the occurrence of jam without increasing a resistance acting from a guide member even if a sheet like cardboard is conveyed.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance device comprises: a merging guide unit 300 which supports a sheet from below with a merging guide 301 to guide it; and an upper conveyance unit 200 which guides the sheet toward the merging guide unit via an inner guide member 11b having a downstream end 11c facing the merging guide. The sheet conveyance device comprises: a horizontal path unit 500 which guides the sheet to the downstream via an upper horizontal guide member 15a having an upstream end 15c facing the merging guide; and a guide interval holding member which is interposed between the merging guide, downstream end 11c and upstream end 15c and holds a guide gap G1 between the merging guide and downstream end and a guide gap G2 between the merging guide and the upper horizontal guide member at the constant level respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
