PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of reducing a workload upon the alteration of a program. SOLUTION: A program area 71 is segmented into a rewrite area 91 which is rewritten at every version upgrade and a normal area 92. A basic program is stored in a basic program area 101 of the normal area 92 and a fixed address storing each function of a common library 84 is stored in a table area 102 to establish a function table 103 where each function is associated with a corresponding address. A function calling program is stored in a relay area 112 of the rewrite area 91, which is called when an application program 81 executes a function, for referring to the function table 103, calling the function stored in the corresponding fixed address and executing the function.
