PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luggage storage locker having loop antennas and a reader/writer and preventing the theft of luggage and errors by safekeeping luggage according to the relationship between information recorded on tags attached to the luggage and information recorded on an IC card which the owner of the luggage carries. SOLUTION: The luggage storage locker 100 includes: at least one or more loop antennas 1 provided on the ceiling part of the locker 100; a control part 4 for sending carrier power and sends and receiving data on the basis of a predetermined modulation method via the loop antennas between RIFD tags 3a, 3b attached to pieces 2a, 2b of luggage, without making contact; and an IC card reader 5 for reading information recorded on the IC card which the user (passenger) carries. The locker further includes an alarm device 6 for sounding an alarm if the luggage is illegally taken out of the locker 100, and an annunciator 7 which uses voice or characters to let the user know the information needed to operate the locker 100.
