PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact pressure protection device used in a negative pressure vessel usually and capable of coping with abrupt rise of pressure such as explosion and being ruptured by small difference in low pressure of one atmospheric pressure or less. SOLUTION: This pressure protection device is attached to the vessel used by reducing pressure in the inside more than pressure in the outside and discharges pressure to the outside when internal pressure rises above a predetermined value for external pressure to protect the vessel and a member connected with the vessel. This device is composed of a metallic sheet and a support plate having a plurality of openings. The support plate is arranged on an inside side of the metallic sheet to support the metallic sheet and prevent rupture of the metallic sheet by external pressure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
