The invention relates to a protective device for dental equipment of the type that mainly comprises a right-hand piece (3) or a contra-angle, formed by a body housing a motor unit and/or members for transmitting the movement of a tool support head (1) bearing a tool (2). The invention is characterised in that the protective device consists of a sleeve (4) that essentially takes the form of a glove finger comprising an open end (6) and an opposing closed end (5). The invention also relates to sealed packaging for an insert formed by the tool support head bearing the tool (2) and equipped with one such protective device.
