<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device in which light directivity of the backlight in a length direction and a width direction is controlled by a simple structure, in which brightness is raised and which is superior in brightness characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This is provided with a light guide plate 12, a light source 3 in which a side face 12a of the light guide plate 12 is made to be a light incident face and which is arranged adjacent to the light incident face, and a reflecting film 15 which is arranged adjacent to a light-irradiating face 12c of the light guide plate 12 and which has a selective light reflectivity. The reflective film 15 is composed of a film-shaped member in which the reflecting film 13 having a light reflectivity and a translucent member 11 having translucency are alternately and repeatedly laminated, and a laminated layer flat face 13a of the reflecting film 13 has a prescribed inclination angle s to a flat face of the reflecting film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
