<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information registration device which acquires a biological image, confirms the image quality of the biological image thus acquired, determines whether a biological image satisfying a prescribed image quality is to be registered, and extracts and registers the characteristics of the biological image which is determined to be registered, the device preventing a biological image photographed without any permission from being fraudulently used when a registration manager checks the biological image. <P>SOLUTION: An image-dividing means 3-2 divides a biological image satisfying a prescribed image quality into partial images based on a prescribed rule. A display-part determination means 3-3 is used to determine whether the images are to be registered of from among the divided partial images divided by the image-dividing means 3-2.
