<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum casting alloy capable of lowering a casting temperature and having lightness inherent in an aluminum alloy and strength at least equivalent to that of the conventional one and to provide an aluminum alloy casting cast from the alloy. <P>SOLUTION: The aluminum casting alloy comprises 7 to 14 wt.% Cu, 6 to 11 wt.% Si, and not larger than 15 wt.% Zn, with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities. It is possible to lower the liquidus temperature of the aluminum alloy by mixing 7 to 14 wt.% Cu, 6 to 11 wt.% Si, and not larger than 15 wt.% Zn. This makes a low-temperature casting process possible and in turn reduces energy consumption and CO<SB>2</SB>discharge amount. Further, the mixing rate of Cu and Zn having a high specific gravity is reduced, so that the obtained aluminum alloy has no risk of impairing its lightweightness. Furthermore, it is possible to eliminate the use of a mold release agent in diecasting by setting the mixing ratio of Al to 68 to 82 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
