PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fibroblast growth factor receptor-like polypeptides having diagnostic advantages or therapeutic advantages, and to provide nucleic acid molecules encoding the same.

SOLUTION: This isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of : (a) the nucleotide sequence as set forth in a specific sequence: (b) the nucleotide sequence of the DNA insert in ATCC Deposit No.; (c) a nucleotide sequence encoding the polypeptide as set forth in ea specific sequence; (d) a nucleotide sequence which hybridizes under moderately or highly stringent conditions to the complement of any of (a) to (c) ; and (e) a nucleotide sequence complementary to any of (a) to (c).
