PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select from which of a plurality of information provision sources information is to be obtained. SOLUTION: When an image recognition section 14 performs image recognition to recognize the state of a traffic signal light from an image photographed by a camera 40, a position information acquisition section 11 obtains the position information of its own-vehicle, surrounding map information and a scheduled travelling route, and a vehicle state decision section 13 decides the state of the own-vehicle. Based on the acquisition results by the position information acquisition section 11 and the decision result by the vehicle state decision section 13, a recognition object selection section 12 selects to which position in the image the image recognition is to be performed.
