PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely seal a nozzle opening line of a recording head by a cap part even when the cap part is inclined to the recording head by frictional force generated by pressing the recording head by a nail part provided on the cap part when the cap part moves to seal the recording head. SOLUTION: A cap unit 230 is equipped with the nail part (214d) which can come into contact with one side face of the recording head 106, a slider part 205 on which the nail part is formed, a cap part 204 for sealing an ink delivering hole line 106a of the recording head, a swinging means 361 for swinging the cap part to the slider part, and power receiving parts (206 and 208) for receiving force from a power acting part (210d) provided on an acting part side. When the ink delivering hole line is sealed, the force from the power acting part is provided to the recording head through the nail part, and the nail part guides the cap unit 202.
