FIELD: production of high-purity metal granules. ^ SUBSTANCE: granules are molded from mixture of ground metal or metal alloy with non-metallic inclusions containing oxides of parent metal and reductant and are treated in vacuum in such way that reductant reacts with inclusions. To enhance purity of granules and improve appearance of product, surface layer is removed from granules by abrasive treatment of finishing tribo-treatment. Thickness of layer being removed is 0.01-0.5 mm. This method may be applied for production of granules of chromium, titanium, vanadium, molybdenum, manganese, niobium, tungsten and nickel, as well as alloy of at least one of above-mentioned metals with boron or boron or ferro-alloy. For obtaining metal or metal alloy, use is made of alumo-thermal reaction between one oxide of metal and ground aluminum; equilibrium of this reaction is shifted due to deficiency of aluminum relative to that amount of aluminum which is required for completion of reaction showing that metal or alloy contains reducible non-metallic inclusions consisting of inclusions of parent metal oxide. After molding, granules are dried at temperature of from 200 to 230C. Reducing treatment is carried out in vacuum furnace; cooling is performed in neutral atmosphere. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. ^ 12 cl, 1 tbl |
