PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo tracking pattern writing method which is simple in the structure of a servo tracking pattern writing device. SOLUTION: A first magnetic field of a specific incident angle within a range from 80°to about 40°is applied to the surface for a magnetic disk 7 while a master disk 6 is held into contact with the magnetic disk 7, and a second magnetic field is applied to an angle direction reflecting on a disk surface with respect to the incident angle of the first magnetic field in such a manner that the polarity of the magnetic field is in an opposite direction in the perpendicular axial component with respect to the polarity of the first magnetic field, and thereby the pattern for magnetic transfer formed on the master disk 6 is magnetically transferred to the magnetic disk 7.
