PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner which is strong against mechanical stress and can ensure satisfactory fixability in a wide temperature range, and to provide an image forming apparatus to which the toner is suitably applicable. SOLUTION: The toner is mainly composed of a polyester resin. The polyester resin comprises a block polyester made of a block copolymer and an amorphous polyester having lower crystallinity than the block polyester. The block polyester has a crystalline block and an amorphous block having lower crystallinity than the crystalline block. The initial relaxation modulus of the toner in 0.01 second G(0.01) [Pa] and the relaxation modulus of the toner in 0.05 second G(0.05) [Pa], at 150°C satisfy the relationship of G(0.01)/G(0.05)≤10.
