摘要 A device for increasing the efficiency of an engine is provided to increase the fuel efficiency of a vehicle, reduce noise and vibration, and reduce the emission of exhaust gas by preheating intake air using infrared rays and heat radiated from a plurality of LEDs and thereby increasing the efficiency of the engine. A device for increasing the efficiency of an engine using an LED module includes an air filter(40) which is installed in an air preheating part(20) provided between an intake port(10) and an intake manifold(30), and an air preheating unit(50) which is installed at the rear end of the air filter. The air preheating unit includes a circuit board and a plurality of LEDs(56). A control unit is mounted on the circuit board to control the LEDs depending on the air temperature detected by a temperature sensor(68). The LEDs are mounted on the circuit board to radiate infrared rays and heat. The temperature sensor, which is electrically connected to the control unit, is installed in the air preheating part to be located at the rear end of the air preheating unit. The air preheating unit is installed at each of opposite ends of the outlet side of the air preheating part to face the center thereof, and radiates infrared rays and heat from the LEDs onto the air passing through the center of the air preheating part.
