UNITY WIND POWER PLANT WITH VERTICAL AXIS OF ROTATION

A wind power plant has a turbine with its axis of rotation (1) substantially at right angle to wind direction, and wings (2) protruding from the axis (1) and the wings (2) have their cross ways extension essentially in vertical direction. The wings (2) can be in odd as well as even number distributed around the axis of rotation (1), and composed of wing elements (21 - 24 and 31, 32) of optional length. For formation of the wings (2), the wing elements (21 - 24) are connected into a torsion link configuration (like a row of pairs of siccors), and thus synchronously movable in relation to each other. To adjust the extention of the wing elements (21 - 24 and 31, 32) an along the axis of rotation (1) adjustable sleeve means (4) is present, to which the inner end of an inner wing element (21) is connected. Due to the inner end of wing element (22) being firmly attached on a distinct level at the axis of rotation (1), and co-operates with said wing element (21), in relation to desired available power from the prevailing wind, by means of adjustment of the sleeve means (4) level along the axis of rotation (1) the extension of the wings (2) is controlled. The axis of rotation (1) powers a hydraulic pump (11), which provide one or several hydraulic motors (12) with hydraulic oil, each one powering an electrical generator (13).
